THE STORY THEN!
Originally opened at Yankalilla in 1984 by an avid group of quilters, The Quilt Basket was the first speciality Patchwork & Quilting shop in South Australia. Originally with a friend, I purchased the business in 1995, and a year later relocated the shop to the seaside town of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Pensinula. Then I took over the business in 1999, and moved from Adelaide to live in the area.
Only an hour or so drive from Adelaide, it is one of the state's most popular tourist destinations, from daytrippers to international travellers. Features can include all water activities, fairy penguin and whale watching, the iconic Horse Tram and Cockle Train.
After 19 years however, the time was right to close the shopfront on 30th June 2014, so I would like to invite you take advantage of everything we have to offer at the quilting events and mail order.
